It has been twenty years since June Jam was held in Fort Payne.  From the early 1980’s to the late 1990’s the event drew thousands of people from all over the United States to neighboring DeKalb County, Alabama for the music festival hosted by country super-group Alabama.  While June Jam may be a thing of the past, the group is still inviting people to come to Fort Payne during the month of June.  This Thursday-Sunday, Alabama will host “Fan Appreciation Week.”

Alabama’s fan appreciation week starts Thursday with Teddy Gentry’s “Singing with the Stars” at Northeast Alabama Community College in Rainsville. Jeff Cook’s “Fan Daze” will be at the Dekalb Theatre in Fort Payne Friday. The band will do a fan appreciate weekend concert at the Alabama fan club and museum Saturday. Randy Owen wraps things up Sunday with “Fandemonium at the Farm” on Lookout Mountain.

To purchase tickets for the show with the band on Saturday night, you must be a member of the Alabama Fan Club.  You can join the Fan Club and purchase tickets.
