Summerville Man Busted with Weed in Car

A Summerville man was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday morning for possession of marijuana.

On Wednesday around 1:45 AM, a deputy on patrol on Mahan Road in Summerville pulled over the driver of a white Ford Taurus after it pulled out of the parking lot of Crossroads Antiques, which was closed at the time.

When the deputy ran the license of the driver, 23-year-old David Lee Wilson, E-911 reported that he had an active warrant out in Chattooga County related to marijuana possession.

When Wilson was asked if there was anything illegal in the vehicle, he admitted there was less than an ounce of marijuana in a pill bottle in the center of the front seat. Wilson was arrested and booked into the county jail shortly thereafter.

Woman Reports her Ex for Pestering Her

A Summerville woman reported her ex last Sunday for calling her repeatedly and sending her “hateful” text messages.

The woman told a local deputy that she and the father of at least one of her children had been split up for around three months, but that ever since, he had been harassing her. She said that she believes that he is tampering with her property, and as examples she said that her mail box keeps getting knocked off, and that her daughter’s solar light was missing. The woman also said her ex takes pictures of her car and sends them to her.

A report was filed for documentation in case the woman decides to take the issue to court.

Over $400,000 worth of ICE meth and pot were seized in Rossville on Tuesday in what became the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force’s biggest bust since January.

According to Task Force Cmdr. Pat Doyle, on Nov. 14 around noon the drug task force searched a residence on 508 James St.

LMJC DTF Commander Pat Doyle said officers had to work quickly in this quick raid that began around noon Tuesday at a residence on 508 James St.

The 8 lb. of uncut ICE meth found could bring well over $350,000 on the street, and with the five pounds of high-grade weed also seized, DTF agents believe they seized over $400,000 worth of drugs.

39-year-old Danyale Renee Cooper and 39-year-old Todd Lee Harmon were arrested on the scene, and two guns were seized.
