Trion Woman Reports Harassment

A Trion woman reported being harassed by a former male acquaintance on Christmas Eve earlier this week.

The woman told a county sheriff’s deputy that she had been talking to the man for about 2 years, but had begun to distance herself from him several months ago, telling him to leave her alone. She went on to say that he continues to bother her at work in Floyd County, where she has already filed a report with the local law enforcement.

“(The complainant) advised that (the alleged suspect) continues to text her and when she blocks the number he uses a texting app to send her messages. (The complainant) advised that this has been going on for several months and she is living in fear.”

The woman was advised of how to take up the issue with the local magistrate.
