Camp Hamby in Chattooga County was founded fifty years ago as the result of the generosity of Mr. Hugh Hamby of the Menlo United Methodist Church.  The land for Camp Hamby was deeded to the United Methodist Church to be used as a Christian camp for young people.  For decades now, hundreds of Chattooga County kids have experience Camp Hamby and registration is underway now for this year’s camp.  There will be two weeks of camp – June 4th -8th and June 11th – 15th.  The camp is open to everyone and is not limited to members of the United Methodist Church.  In fact, many denominations in Chattooga County contribute to the Camp experience at Camp Hamby.  For more information see below:
