A Cartersville man was arrested in Chattooga County and charged with marijuana possession  after a traffic stop.

According to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, Anthony Anderson of Cartersville was stopped by officers who smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside his vehicle.

When asked if he had anything illegal in the car, Mr. Anderson said that he did.  Officers found a glass jar with a green leafy substance, believed to be marijuana inside the vehicle.

While running his drivers license, officers discovered that Mr. Anderson’s license had been suspended.

Anderson was booked into the Chattooga County Jail on charges of driving with suspended or revoked license and marijuana possession.
