The Chattooga County Board of Education will hold their first meeting of the New Year, and the first meeting with three new board members, coming up this evening.
Dr. Julia Houston, Brad Hayes and Sammy Ballard will take their seats on the board of education this evening and already the newly-elected board members will be discussing a return to the five-day school week.
According to an agenda released yesterday by the Board of Education, Dr. Julia Houston, who represents the Lyerly area on the school board, has requested a discussion of the five-day school week.
The school board will also be selecting a chair and vice-chair for the board of education at tonight’s meeting.
The meeting will take place at 6 PM at the Chattooga County Education Center board meeting room.
