On Friday, February 4th the student council members of CHS hosted their second annual “Pink Out” game to raise money for breast cancer research. This has become a rather significant tradition here at Chattooga High that seems to bring joy and unity to all around. Prior to the game hot pink ‘Pink Out’ shirts were sold for $12.00. Upon arrival at school everyone could easily tell that the student body was in the pink spirit, for even the halls were decorated in a sea of  pink. At the game players wore pink warm-ups and pink shoe laces. In the gym lobby students sold raffle tickets (for prizes donated by local businesses), baked goods, and ‘Relay for Life’ stars in honor or memory of cancer patients. Donations were also accepted. CHS Student Council Advisor, Charis Sumner stated that a little over $500 was raised to donate to research. Once again, the community stood together in unity to honor and remember those loved ones who have suffered through this terrible disease and to help find a cure.
