If you have a backyard flock of chickens and you want to legally sell your eggs in Georgia, you need to have an egg candling license. There is no cost for the license, but you are required to take a short course to teach you the basics about candling eggs for sale.
The Walker County Extension Service is sponsoring several “Egg Candling Classes” coming up this Wednesday. The classes are open to anyone in Northwest Georgia and will be taught by instructors from the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
For more details, you can call the Walker County Extension Service at 706-638-2548. The classes will be held this Wednesday, February 13th at the Walker County Ag Center in Rock Spring.
