A Summerville man called police when he discovered that his checking account had been compromised.
The Harrisburg Rd. man reportedly told a county deputy that his banking information was used to make a purchase in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
He believed there were at least five transactions between Aug. 12-14, all at the Ft. Lauderdale Publix Supermarket. Together, the listed transactions total almost $2,400.00.
The case was active as of Monday.
