The National Weather Service has issued a “Freeze Watch” for Chattooga County and Northwest Georgia for tonight through Saturday morning.  Temperatures are expected to dip into the upper 20’s to lower 30’s.  Forecasters say that the temperature will drop below freezing between 3 AM and 10 AM on Saturday.

Freezing temperatures may damage sensitive vegetation, so you should take steps to protect plants from the cold. Also, don’t forget your pets.

The Freeze Watch extends from Northwest Georgia along a line from Buchanan to Canton and Cleveland.
