Resident seeking to save the Taylor House in Summerville were given an ultimatum in Summerville City Court on Wednesday.  Municipal Court Judge Sam Finster gave the group sixty days to complete major repairs on the historic home, or the home could be demolished by the City of Summerville.

One supporter of revitalizing the structure told AM 1180 that the good news is they have sixty days.  The bad news is that if certain repairs aren't finished in that time, it could be in danger of being demolished by the City.  The group is working to transfer the house to new owners under the Georgia Trust in hopes to save the house, but it appears the City of Summerville is tired of waiting.

The group is thankful for all the support that they have received from the community, and said that a call for volunteers for a work day might be forthcoming.
