UGA Tall Fescue Workshop Coming to Northwest Georgia PDF Print E-mail

Chattooga County Extension Agent Rebecca Thomas says that UGA Forage Specialist, Dr. Dennis Hancock has scheduled a series of Tall Fescue Workshops to be held in North Georgia over the next 6 weeks. 

One of those is scheduled to be held at the Walker County Ag Center on March 23rd. Registration begins at 12:30 pm and should conclude at 5:30 pm.  These workshops will go into significant depth on fescue toxicosis and provide management strategies to prevent or deal with these challenges. 

According to Dr. Hancock… “The  workshops will be geared to producers, Agents, NRCS folks, and industry. It will be a more in-depth coverage of the subject (i.e., not introductory, but more for intermediate and advanced users).”
