A weekend brush fire in Walker County was most likely started by an illegal burn that got out of control, according to the Georgia Forestry Commission.

A Georgia Forestry helicopter spotted the brush fire, burning on West Reed Road in the Noble Community north of Lafayette on Saturday.

The Georgia Forestry Service says that about twenty acres were burned before the fire was contained.  No homes were damaged in the fire.
