Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident just after midnight Tuesday on Cedartown Highway at the Walker Mountain Road intersection.

According to Rome Police reports, a northbound Pontiac Montana struck a southbound Chevy Malibu on the driver’s side front.

The impact caused the Malibu, driven by Romeo Ruiz of Cedartown, to run off the road and stop in the parking lot of Walker Mountain Store.

Ruiz complained of injury but was not taken to the hospital for treatment

The driver of the Montana, 49-year old James Davis of Lafayette, sustained visible injuries and was transported by ambulance to Floyd Medical Center.

Two passengers in the Ruiz vehicle also complained of injuries and were also transported to the hospital for treatment.

Davis was cited for failure to yield the right of way while Ruiz was cited for driving without a license.
