A Lyerly man says that someone stole his pit-bull dog on Monday of this week.

Stevie Cordle, who lives on Red Hill Road, said that he secures the dog to a chain by using a “C-clamp”.

Mr. Cordle  said that he had checked the clamp on Sunday and it was tight.  On Monday morning around 8 AM, Mr. Cordle discovered the dog was missing.

The complainant said that the “C-clamp” was undone and still on the chain.  He also said that there were footprints in the area around where his dog was chained that were neither his, nor his girlfriend’s.

The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department filed a report about the apparent theft.
