On Tuesday of this week a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a call at Domino’s Pizza in Summerville about counterfeit currency.

A delivery driver had made a delivery to the Carrousel Inn in Trion and brought back a $20 bill that was counterfeit.

The delivery driver told the deputy that he delivered a two-liter bottle of Coke to a room at the motel and a black male who identified himself as “Mike” gave the driver the fake money.  The driver said that he questioned the money, and the man said that he had recently washed the bill which is what made it look different.

The manager at Domino’s called deputies who took the fake $20 bill and turned it over to the Trion Police Department since the incident happened in the Town Limits of Trion.
