Summerville man Anthony Strickland filed a report after an Alabama woman hadn’t returned a car he was loaning her, according to Summerville Police Department records.
Mr. Strickland told the officer taking the report that he and the woman had discussed her buying the car, but that no decision had been made. He said he had tried to call her several times, but she had yet to pick up.
Strickland did not have the VIN or tag numbers on hand, and a stolen car lookout was not posted. The officer advised Mr. Strickland to take up the issue in the magistrate’s court.
