Around 11 PM Thursday night, a county sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a theft on Mustang Drive.

Complainant Coy Coffey told the deputy that after arriving home an hour earlier, he found his yard gate ajar an “out of place”. After investigating, he discovered his kerosene can had been stolen.

Coffey said the can is blue, round, and was completely full with five gallons of kerosene when it was taken. The total monetary damage to Mr. Coffey is listed reports as $35. He informed the deputy that he has had issues with prowlers in the area in the past.

The case is currently active at the county sheriff’s office.
