Mr. Paul Mack Cooper, age 95 of Summerville, GA passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017 at his residence.

Mr. Cooper was born May 24, 1922, in Trion, GA, son of the late James Andrew Jackson Cooper and Pearl McCamey Cooper.  He was a member of the Chelsea Baptist Church and loved to share his faith with everyone that he met.  He loved to fish and garden.  Paul worked in his family’s sawmill, sold cars, tractors, lawn mowers, and auto parts to anyone who would stop by.  He also helped run the family store in Summerville, Cooper’s Store. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Tucker Cooper; son, Johnny Mack Cooper; brothers, Gilbert Cooper, Daughtery Cooper; and sister, Thelma Lemming.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law, David and Tammie Cooper, Paul Andrew “Andy” Cooper; daughters and sons-in-law, Joann and Charles Stowe, Nancy and Willie Tapp; grandchildren, Teresa Barksdale, Millie Belle Wilson, Paula Martinez, Jamey Cooper, Joy Hampton, Michael Tapp, Rebecca Tapp, Sally Cash, and Jana Canada; 19 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Cooper will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, September 23, 2017, from the Chapel of Mason Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Shores and Rev. Mike Odom officiating. Interment will follow at West Hill Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jamey Cooper, Michael Tapp, Frank Lemming, Jack Tucker, Tom Tucker, Dwayne Hampton, and Cooper Hampton.  Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Ward, Ben and the Staff of Hearth Hospice.
Mr. Cooper will be in state at Mason Funeral Home and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Friday, September 22, 2017.
