Mrs. Dixie Brown Duhamel, age 75 of Daytona Beach, Florida, formerly of Summerville, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2018 in a Florida Hospice Center.
Mrs. Duhamel was born in Lafayette, Georgia on July 24, 1942, daughter of the late Joseph Frank Brown and Ethel Shields Brown Wesson. She loved to socialize and be around people. She enjoyed bowling, throwing darts and was an avid NASCAR fan. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Duhamel was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Duhamel and a great grandson, Michael Robert Henegar.
Mrs. Duhamel is survived by her sons, Tim Langston (Lori McGraw) of Dalton, and Marty Langston of West Palm Beach; daughter, Robin (Robert) Kirby of Lafayette; brothers and sisters-in-law, Luther and George Ann Brown of Wedgefield , SC and David and Janie Brown of Cohutta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and “Jeep” Langston of Chatsworth and Judy and Vernon Hatcher of Rock Springs; companion, Fred Rojas; special friend, Nehi Rhinehardt; and a lot of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Duhamel will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. in the Petitt Chapel of the Coffman Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Smith and Rev. Luther Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Trion Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ian Morton, Jason Childers, Alex Childers, Eric Caudill, BJ Rogers and Ty Rogers.
Mrs. Duhamel will be in state at the Coffman Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 P.M.
