Paradise Gardens in Pennville was awarded a grant from the Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Georgia Council for the Arts. Across the state, 132 recipients of the Partner, Project and Arts Education were awarded grants for fiscal year 2019 and will share $1 million in funding.
The state legislature passed a special appropriation in the current year’s budget to award a $5,000 grant to all Partner Grant applicants that met certain criteria and were not funded in the 2018 Fiscal year budget. Governor Nathan Deal signed the legislation in March of this year.
The Paradise Garden Foundation will share more than $1 million in funding that includes appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly and the National Endowment for the Arts.
