Two motorists each hit deer in separate incidents earlier this month.

Around 1:30 PM on November 4th, a sheriff’s deputy responded to a report of a vehicle collision with a deer at the 500 block of Highway 48. The driver, Roger Farmer, was hit by a deer on his way toward Menlo. The animal struck the vehicle’s left side of his vehicle, causing damage to the driver side door, whole front windshield, back driver side door, and it knocked off the driver’s side side mirror. Farmer declined medical attention at the time of the incident, and the vehicle was able to be driven from the scene.

Around 6:30 PM that same evening, a sheriff’s deputy spoke with Edward AllmonĀ around the 1000 block of Gore Subligna Rd. Allmon said that after a deer leapt in front of his vehicle, it hit the front, passenger side of his truck. The corresponding headlight sustained minor damage. Allmon did not require medical attention, and the vehicle was driven from the scene.
