The Safe Solar Viewing program will be held at the Summerville Branch of the Chattooga County Library System on August 15th at 6pm.

They will have a Power Point presentation with a little eclipse history, why there is an eclipse, what we will see in our county, what others will see,  how to view safely with solar glasses and without.

They will have informational fliers for those in attendance and a hands on demonstration.  At the close of the program those in attendance(at least the first 175)will receive a pair of solar glasses which we received via a grant by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation to the Space Science Institute.
