The Santa in Uniform Golf Tournament was held yesterday, Saturday, August 11th at the Trion Golf Course.  The event helped raise funds for the organization’s goal of providing Christmas for kids in need in Chattooga County.

One-hundred-four people participated in the tournament on Saturday which was rescheduled from the previous weekend due to rain.  Organizers say that the event was the largest number of participants ever for Santa in Uniform Golf Tournament.  Trey Skelton was the lead organizer for the event.

Santa in Uniform says that they are appreciative for all the area businesses that helped sponsor the event and also expressed their appreciation to Randy Henderson at the Trion Golf Course.

Organizers say that they are still determining how much money was raised for the event, and are already looking forward to next year’s golf tournament.

The next fundraising event for Santa in Uniform is coming up next weekend with the Santa in Uniform Motorcycle Ride.
