The Summerville City Council will hold their regular monthly meeting coming up this evening at Summerville City Hall.

The City Council is expected to reexamine the costs of a new generator at the Summerville Water Treatment Plant.  The issue became a hot topic for many after a thunderstorm knocked out the power to the water treatment facility on Filter Plant Road last month.  The council has received several bids on installing a new generator at the facility.

Also on the agenda this evening, the council will consider the request for a duplex on Crowe Street in Summerville.  Summerville Code Enforcement Officer Joey Norton is on this evening’s agenda to discuss the project request with the council.

The City Council is also expected to go into executive session to discuss the City Manager position.  Currently, Janice Galloway is serving as the interim city manager.  Galloway has indicated that she has applied for the job, and city hall says that they are reviewing several applications for the position.

The public is invited to attend this evening’s meeting.
