A 28-year old Summerville woman turned herself in at the Floyd County Jail over the weekend on a warrant charging her with felony shoplifting.
According to the warrant, Cassandra Marie Chance selected cosmetics and a laptop computer at the East Rome Walmart, proceeded to the checkout area and pretended to scan the items.
She then left the store without paying for the merchandise, valued at just over $1,000.
The incident occurred on December 17, according to the warrant.
