The Georgia State Patrol says that a Chattanooga man is facing charges in connection with a police chase that wound up on Gore-Subligna Road on April 14th.

According to a report released by the Georgia State Patrol, twenty-three-year-old Jose R. Bruno of a Gunbarrel Road, Chattanooga address will be facing a list of charges after he led Georgia State Trooper on a high-speed chase on Highway 27 that ended when Bruno crashed through a barbed-wire fence on Gore-Subligna Road.

The chase started shortly before 3 PM on Saturday, April 14th.  Trooper Doug Shamblin with the Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome says that Bruno reached speeds of over 130 mph as he attempted to elude law enforcement on his motorcycle.

Bruno crashed through a fence on the westbound side of Gore-Subligna Road and had to be airlifted due to the extent of his injuries.

The Georgia State Patrol says that Trooper Shamblin will be handling the charges against Bruno in connection with the accident.
