A Young Drive, Trion man reported the theft of a television and medication to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department on Friday.
According to the sheriff’s office, Danny Bloodsworth called deputies after he got up on Friday morning and noticed that his television was missing and that his screen door to an enclosed porch where the television was kept, was open.
Lorraine Morris, who lives at the same residence, told a responding deputy that her medication was also missing. Ms. Morris told the deputy that she keeps her medication in a cabinet on the enclosed porch. Ms. Morris said that she was missing 115 Oxycodone pills.
The couple was able to give the identity of a suspect to the deputy. They said that the suspect was living in the home and when he came to retrieve his personal belongings earlier in the week, he took multiple items that didn’t belong to him. Also, Mr. Bloodsworth said that the suspect damaged his 2016 Dodge Dart by damaging the paint on the car. The cost to fix the automobile has been estimated at $3,000.
The case has been turned over to an investigator with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.
