Local law enforcement officials were out in force over the long holiday weekend looking for impaired drivers. 

The Chattooga County Sheriffs Department along with Summerville and Trion City Police and the Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome made a total of 17 DUI arrests during the Memorial Day Holiday period which began on Friday and ran through Monday.
