The Chattooga County Board of Education has announced a public meeting that will be held on this evening at the Chattooga County High School Cafeteria to discuss the pros and cons of going to a 4 Day School Week.

This public meeting is being used to get input from the community regarding the idea of going to a longer school day and a shorter school week.  Some parents have voiced support for the idea, saying that as long as emphasis is given to children’s education, they have no problem with the idea.  Other parents worry about children unsupervised on the extra day off while parents are at work – or having to come up with money for extra child care.

The meeting is set for this evening at 7 PM.
