Jon Payne, election superentindent for Chattooga County, told AM 1180 Chattooga Radio News that absontee ballots are available starting today.  You can pick up an absontee ballot at the registars office until 5 PM today.  If you need an absentee ballot mailed, you can contact the registars office at 706-857-0739.

Remember that early voting begins next week.  You can vote at the registrars office located in the old McGinnis Drug Store Building on the South side of the Courthouse from 8:30 am until 5 PM Monday through Friday.  The Run-Off election will be held on Tuesday August 5th.
