A Chattanooga man was evidently driving drunk on the DeSoto Parkway at Mentone, AL on Tuesday of this week when he lost control of his 1993 Nissan Truck on the winding road outside of Mentone in the area of the state park and DeSoto Falls.  The man has been identified as 41 year old David Rhodes.  Rhodes lost control of his vehicle and crashed into a mailbox and ended up in the ditch.  He was transported to DeKalb Medical Center in Ft. Payne and subsequently arrested and charged with DUI.
