An accident yesterday afternoon on Highway 27 in Summerville stalled traffic as emergency workers worked the scene.  According to reports the accident happened in front of Truck Town at the intersection of Woodhaven Drive and Highway 27.

Chattooga County 911 had dispatched rescue units to the scene, however there was no entrapment in the accident but three people were injured.  Three vehicles were involved in the accident and there were three injuries.  Names of the accident victims were not available yesterday afternoon.

While the accident was being worked by police and emergency workers a vehicle sped through the accident scene and was subsequently pulled over by the Georgia State Patrol.  AM 1180 will have more information from the Georgia State Patrol when the accident report is completed.
