There were several accidents reported around Chattooga County on Friday afternoon and evening, but none appeared to have any serious injuries.

A three car accident was reported in Lyerly yesterday afternoon near the Pure Stop.  The exact details of the accident will be made available when the Georgia State Patrol post completes their accident report. 

There was another minor accident at the Mountain View BP when a truck and a car collided on the gas station parking lot – there were no injuries.

Then there was the report of a van that appeared to be on fire in the Trion area.  According to initial reports a law enforcement officer noticed the van was burning and finally managed to get the van to stop.  The cause of the van burning is not known at this time.  The incident happened on Thomas Road in the Trion area.
