A Plainville man arrested on child molestation charges was denied bond during a hearing Monday afternoon.
Gordon County detectives arrested Randy Hufstetler, 52, Friday afternoon without inci-dent at his Plainville construction business in connection with the molestation of a local child.
According to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office: Hufstetler was also a minister and at-tended a local church in the Plainville community.
The charges stem from an investigation into reports of inappropriate contact with a (then) 11-year-old girl who attended the same church with Hufstetler a number of years before.
Hufstetler has been charged with two counts of child molestation.
Detectives have interviewed a second young person acquainted with Hufstetler and who is believed to have been victimized.
The investigation is continuing. Hufstetler remains in the Gordon County Jail.
