An Alabama man was arrested Tuesday after police say he was found in possession of drugs and then tried to offer the arresting officer money to not be taken to jail.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Michael Allen Goodman, 17, of a Birmingham, Ala., address, was arrested by Floyd County police around 11:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ga. 140 and Ga. 53. He was charged with possession of marijuana-less than one ounce and felony bribery of a police officer.

Police said that Goodman was found with a cigarette box containing suspected marijuana and marijuana seeds. After being arrested, he allegedly offered the officer $10 to be released and given a ride to Summerville
