Piedmont resident, 37 year old Jimmy Lee Pruitt of a 2803 County Road 18 address, was arrested on a Cherokee County Alabama Grand Jury Indictment for two counts of Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree, and also two counts of Sexual Abuse 1st Degree – the indictment alleges that Pruitt committed the crimes earlier this year. The case will now proceed to court.

The name of the juvenile victim is being withheld.

According to Cherokee County Investigator and Public Information Officer Mark Hicks, Pruitt was released on $25,000 bond awaiting his court date.
