The Animal Advocates of Chattooga County is a volunteer group concerned with the welfare of the community’s animals. The group cares about your pets and offers a low-cost spay and neutering program.

“We are striving to be able to assist those families who cannot afford to feed their pets,” a spokesperson said. “We support Animal Control and at times we can give shelter animals a second chance by helping to transport them to a rescue, headed for a new home. Our primary source of income is our fundraisers, which tend to be a lot of fun as well as profitable. We’d love to have you stop by a meeting, share your thoughts, and join in our efforts.”

The Animal Advocates of Chattooga County meets the first Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. in the conference room of the Chattooga County Library in Summerville.
