With the four day school week a reality in Chattooga County, many parents are concerned about their children and supervision on the Monday when kids are out of school.  Many households have both parents working day shift and many others are single-parent households.

The Chattooga County Ministerial Asssociation has been meeting to try to find a way that area churches can address the problem of children being out of school on Monday with no adult supervision.  Association President Dr. John Hayes, a former educator himself, told AM 1180 that the churches are still discussing ways that they can provide child-care assistance to local families.

The Chattooga County Ministerial Association will have a special called meeting this Thursday morning at Pop’s in Summerville at 11 AM.  Dr. Hayes said all Christian ministers from Chattooga County are urged to attend this important meeting.
