Authorities are investigating the third armed robbery in less than a month in Floyd County.  According to reports, the Citgo Gas Station on the 1900 block of Shorter Avenue in Rome was robbed early this morning.  Just after 5 AM, two black males wearing masks and dew rags armed with a weapon demanded money from the store clerk and then fled and are still at large.

This is the 3rd armed robbery in Floyd County in July. On July 1st, the Village Green Store in Lindale was robbed at gunpoint and police arrested 25 year old Travis Farmer and 22 year old Erica Barrett less than a week later. On July 18th, 5 guys Burgers and Fries was robbed at gunpoint and a female manager was assaulted. Less than a week after that robbery, police arrested 21 year-old Marcus Rashaun Wade.
