Langley, event coordinator, said the tradition started four years ago and has allowed families and bluegrass musicians to sit back and enjoy some music.
“We wanted to have a get together for the
Fourth,” he said. “We just wanted to get together and jam, and everyone had such a good time, we did it again and again.”
The event has drawn more than 50 attendees each year.
“Several groups come down and camp,” Langley said. “People can come in and sit down with different groups. It’s a lot of fun.”
There is no designated starting time to the jam session.
The event, which will start today and end Sunday, includes bluegrass music, stew and barbecue available for an entrance fee of $5. The grounds are located at Armuchee Music Park off Ga. 140.
“It’s grown every year. We should have a pretty good crowd,” Langley said. “It’s just good clean family fun.”
