An Armuchee man was arrested Wednesday on sex charges related to incidents involving a minor female between 2006 and 2008.  25 year old Edward Junior Lawrence of an old Summerville Rd. address, who has been jailed on other charges since last Friday, was charged in warrants with aggravated child molestation and aggravated sexual battery. 

 He is accused of molesting and having contact of a sexual nature with a victim who was five or six years of age at the time.  The incidents allegedly occurred at a location in northern Floyd County between December 2006 and August of this past year.

He was jailed last Friday night after leading officers on a chase that lead Floyd County law enforcement into Chattooga County before he was finally stopped on Haywood Valley Rd.  He was charged with a slew of traffic and drug violations at that time.
