Organizations assisting those in need following the tornados of April 27th have recently received a big boost in the amount of money available for distribution. The Bama Rising Fund recently handed out a fourth round of grants, from money raised during a benefit concert in June headlined by the band Alabama. The latest grants total $818,000 including $145,000 for rebuilding efforts in Jackson and Dekalb counties and $48,000 that will go toward rebuilding part of the Webster`s Chapel Volunteer Fire Department in Calhoun County, and adding a 100 person storm shelter on the property.
