An 18 wheeler overturned on Highway 9 North at approximately 12:15 Central Time, Monday afternoon.

The vehicle – outfitted with Nebraska plates, and apparently hauling a full payload of beer – was traveling southbound, when it went off the roadway and rolled over onto its side – coming to rest in a ditch directly across from Cherokee Drive.

The driver of the rig reportedly told officers on the scene that he was attempting to avoid another vehicle when he went onto the soft shoulder of the road, and lost control of the 18 wheeler.

The yet-to-be identified driver – was transported by ambulance for treatment of what appeared to be only minor injuries.
