Blood Assurance will host a blood drive for 9-month old Brinley Thomas from 9 a.m. p.m. to 7 p.m. this evening at Summerville First Baptist Church.
Brinley just has been diagnosed with AML Leukemia. It’s a form of leukemia that is more common in adults and not in children. Brinley Kate is hospitalized at Egleston Children’s Hospital. Blood Assurance will donate money to the Thomas family for each pint of blood donated Monday. This will help the family with medical bills and other expenses.
To find out more information about Brinley Kate’s battle with leukemia, check out the website www.caringbridge.com, register and then visit Brinley Kate’s homepage.
For today’s blood drive, donors must be at least 17 years old, (16 years old with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and be in good health.
