The Chattooga County Water District will meet next Thursday to award the bids for the next phase of the Chattooga County Water Project. This phase of the project will finish the project at Cloudland and extend water in the Holland and Chattoogaville areas.

Commissioner Jason Winters told AM 1180 that the bids ensure that the Water District will be able to finish the construction of the county water system and ensure that citizens of Holland, Chattoogaville, Gore, Subligna and Cloudland have good affordable drinking water.

The bids have been certified by Ladd Environmental services and will be reviewed and voted on during next month’s water board meeting to be held on Thursday June 2 at the Water District Office in Trion.
