COMMISSIONER BEBE HEISKELL SAID THURSDAY THAT ALL BIDS WERE HIGHER THAN ANTICIPATED ON THE MOUNTAIN-SLIDE REPAIR ON DAUGHERTY GAP ROAD.  SHE SAID THE COUNTY IS WORKING WITH FEMA TO SEE IF THEY WILL FUND THE ADDITIONAL COST OF THAT REPAIR.  THE ROAD WHICH IS USED BY MANY CLOUDLAND RESIDENTS AS A MAIN ROUTE TO LA FAYETTE HAS BEEN CLOSED SINCE THE FLOODS IN SEPTEMBER OF 2009.
