Bond was not set Monday afternoon for a Chattooga County man was charged with Child molestation. 50 year old Gary Randolph Beye (Buy) was was booked into the Chattooga County Jail just after 10 p.m. on Friday.

Beye appeared before Chattooga Country Magistrate Judge Tracy Maddox at 3:30 Monday. However, Maddoxs said due to the nature of the charges he was unable to set a bond. At Monday’s hearing Maddox told Beye that If he is released on bond he is to not be near a child under the age of 16.

Beye’s arrest concerns two young girls, ages 5 and 7. Over a period of time, Beye is accused of forcing the girls to watch pornography, fondling them and passing onto them a sexually transmitted disease. The children’s mother apparently became aware of the molestations and called police on November 1st.

According to Maddox, the earliest a bond could possibly be set is in two weeks before a Superior Court judge. However, there is always the possibility that due to the nature of the charges that bond will be denied.
