DeKalb County Georgia Man Arrested
Trade Day in Collinsville

A Georgia man was arrested Saturday at Trade Day in Collinsville for selling bootlegged DVDs, Sheriff Jimmy Harris said.

Stanley Jones, 44, Atlanta, was arrested after officers with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office, Collinsville Police Department and U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force went to Trade Day Saturday.

Jones had outstanding warrants from Whitfield County, Ga., for 911 counts of unauthorized production, distribution or sale of recorded material, Harris said.

Before his arrest, officers determined that Jones had more than 2,000 bootlegged DVDs for sale at the flea market on U.S. Highway 11.

More than $2,800 in cash and a Lincoln Navigator were seized, Harris said.

In DeKalb County, Jones was charged with unlawful sale of recorded devices in violation of copyright laws.

Jones was held in the DeKalb County Detention Center on a $7,500 bond before being extradited to Whitfield County, Ga., Thursday morning.
