Dalton State College will cut its budget by $924,574 to meet a budget reduction plan approved Tuesday by the state Board of Regents.

Thirty five colleges across the state have cut their budgets by at least 6% in order to save money and are looking at further cuts should the economy not improve.

Georgia Highlands College in Rome is facing total budget cuts of approximately $934,935.
