A Chattooga County School bus was involved in a minor accident on Thursday morning that hampered the morning for some folks travelling Highway 27 just north of Summerville.
According to Trooper Diggs with the Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome, the accident occured when Crystal Blankenship of Summerville was attempting to pull on to Highway 27 at the intersection of Lake Wanda Rita Road by Reece Tires. Blankenship’s view was obstructed by another school bus and she pulled into the path of a school bus that was being driven by Keysa Bice of Summerville.
Bice was taken to Floyd Urgent Care in Summerville to be checked out and did not sustain any major injuries. There were no children on the school bus when the wreck happened. The accident which took place around 7:40 did slow down some folks travelling north on Highway 27 on Thursday morning.
